Abstract
The UN Resolution 1325 supports resolutions on Women and Peace and Security (WPS). The WPS resolutions shifted the paradigm on how the international community responds to conflicts and their lingering impact. It established the normative framework for women’s meaningful participation in decision-making, conflict resolution, conflict prevention and peacebuilding; protection of women and girls’ rights; and prevention of sexual and gender-based violence in conflict.
