Visit of the delegation of the UN Secretary General to Peacekeeping Police Unit No. 1

The inclusion of uniformed women in United Nations peacekeeping operations (UNPKOs) is crucial for more effective and comprehensive peacekeeping. Viet Nam is strongly committed to participating in UN peacekeeping operations and has achieved remarkable results in deploying its forces, including the deployment of female officers to the United Nations’ peacekeeping operations (UN PKOs). UN Deputy Secretary-General H.E. Jean-Pierre Lacroix visited Peacekeeping Police Unit No. 1 and the Peacekeeping Training Center under the Ministry of Public Security on 12 June 2025. The Ministry demonstrated the commitment of Viet Nam to the full participation of the Vietnamese police force in general and strengthening the participation of female officers of the Vietnamese Police Force in particular in UN PKOS activities.
