In Thailand, Women Empowerment and Learning Centers (WE Center) provide community-based space for women to be trained, connect and advocate for women’s rights, women’s empowerment and inclusive policies. WE Centers are managed by local women-led organizations and were established with support from UN Women through the “Empowering Women for Sustainable Peace: Preventing Violence and Promoting Social Cohesion in ASEAN” project and others supported by the Governments of Canada, Republic of Korea, United Kingdom and Australia.
