Grounded in the vision of equality articulated in the United Nations Charter, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) aims to eliminate discrimination against women and girls, empower women, and achieve equality between women and men as participants and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian efforts, peace, and security. Through its various programs and projects, UN Women provides technical assistance to national partners, helping them implement international and national commitments to women’s rights and gender equality. It also facilitates networking and sharing best practices while advocating for women’s rights and gender equality across all spheres of life.
In this context, UN Women Indonesia continues to collaborate with stakeholders from the government, civil society organisations (CSOs), intergovernmental organisations (IGOs), and academia to promote gender equality and women’s rights. To this end, UN Women plans to train its partners to enhance their capacity in managing partnership programs in line with UN Women’s rules and regulations.
