Abstract
[English]
This book contains several writings by students and young people of various faiths in Soloraya, Central Java, about their experiences of tolerance and peace. These are based on their own experiences. For example, a teenage boy is often teased as a “sissy” because he likes dancing, a female student is forced to wear a headscarf even though she is a believer in a particular faith, a friendship between Muslim and Christian teenagers, and a story about a nearby house of worship.
This book is not just a collection of articles. It is a track record of some of the junior high, senior high, and vocational high school students, as well as interfaith youth, who participated in the Diversity Literacy program organized by the Solopos Institute and Harmoni USAID. They not only learned the theory of tolerance and diversity in a classroom, but also explored it through the lens of journalism. They learned to listen, observe, and then express their experiences in moving writing.
[Bahasa Indonesia]
