In Thailand, Women Empowerment and Learning Centers (WE Centers) provide community-based spaces for women to be trained, connect, and advocate for women’s rights, empowerment, and inclusive policies. WE Centers are managed by local women-led organizations and were established with support from UN Women through the “Empowering Women for Sustainable Peace: Preventing Violence and Promoting Social Cohesion in ASEAN” project, as well as other projects supported by the Governments of Canada, Republic of Korea, United Kingdom, and Australia.
